Kentaro Okumura
Kentaro Okumura’s practice is rooted in duality; a paradox and a never-ending pursuit of a nonexistent harmony between fluctuating states. He is intrigued by the constant flux within both the inner emotional world and the physical world. The paintings function as meditations, reflections, as well as an attempt to immortalise the fleeting and delicate moments in time. His intuitive approach to painting is a translation of experiences; controlled coincidences and improvisation within the moment, in response to individual and collective experiences.
